Annual physicals and preventive care
One visit a year to look at the whole picture — and catch the things that don't announce themselves.
High blood pressure has no symptoms. Neither does early diabetes, high cholesterol, or most thyroid problems. A yearly physical is how those get found while they're still easy to manage.
What the visit includes
- A full review of your history, medications and family history
- Vital signs, weight and a head-to-toe exam
- Blood work drawn here, matched to your age and risk factors
- Screening recommendations you're actually due for
- Time to ask about anything that's been bothering you
Good to know. Most insurance plans cover a preventive visit once a year at no cost to you. If we find something during the visit that needs treatment, that part may be billed separately — we'll tell you when that happens rather than letting you find out on the statement.
